What’s the plan for the day?

Plan (subject to minor changes) is as follows:

• 10:30am – Bus leaves Federation Square
• 11:00am – Bus pick-up in Oakleigh East
• 11:50am – Bus arrives at Red Hill Brewery
• 12:00pm – Lunch at Red Hill Brewery (set menu)
• 1:30pm – Bus leaves Red Hill Brewery
• 1:35pm – Bus arrives at Red Hill Rail Trail
• 2:00pm – Crate Run starts
• 3:30pm – First finishers (maybe?)
• 4:30pm – Last finishers
• 5:00pm – Bus leaves Red Hill
• 6:00pm – Bus drop-off in Oakleigh East
• 6:30pm – Bus arrives at Federation Square

How much will this all cost?

The whole day should be about $100 per person.

This is assuming we have 20 people (5 teams of 4, or 4 teams plus a few supporters). Breakdown is as follows:

• Bus: $40-$45 per person
• Lunch: $35 per person (food only)
• Beer: $78 per case – so $19.50 per person in a team of four.
• Total: $100(-ish)

Crate specific rules

1. Crate can only be carried by members of the team. One, two, or more at a time. Take turns as required.
2. Crate can be carried by any aid (e.g., backpack, sling, ropes).
3. The crate can not touch the ground during the race. Penalties apply.
4. No rolling aids for the crate (e.g., trolly, skateboard, bike). Immediate disqualification.

Beer specific rules

1. No spilling beer or reversals (vomit). Penalties apply.
2. No cheating attempts to get rid of the beer (e.g., pouring out beer, having non-team members drink). Immediate disqualification.
3. Other food and drink allowed.
