I’m organising an Aussie Kastenlauf (Crate Run) in October this year.

Will be on the same day as my birthday, 18 October. So, going to make a day of it. Lunch at Red Hill Brewery.
Then the run at Red Hill Rail Trail.

Just need to get a few people keen enough to join the run, or come for the afternoon.

Plan (as it currently is):

• 10:45am – Bus to pick-up people from Federation Square.
• 12pm – Arrive at Red Hill Brewery for lunch. Buy the beer for the run.
• 1:30pm – A quick bus ride up the road to Red Hill Rail Trail.
• 2pm – Crate Run. 7km. 24 beers per team.
• 4pm – Run done.
• 4:45pm – Bus back to Melbourne.
• 6pm – Arrive at Federation Square.

Rough costs are as follows:

• $45 – bus ride, per person
• $35 – lunch, per person (food only)
• $78 – beer, per team

Works out about $100 per person (in a team of 4).
